Take up your wand, go to the North edge of the circle, raise the wand and say:

Farewell, Spirit of Earth.
I give thanks for your presence
Depart in peace, go in power.

Now go to the East edge of the circle, raise the wand. Say:

Farewell, Spirit of Air.
I give thanks for your presence
Depart in peace, go in power.

Now go to the South edge of the circle, raise the wand. Say:

Farewell, Spirit of Fire.
I give thanks for your presence
Depart in peace, go in power.

Now go to the West edge of the circle, raise the wand. Say:

Farewell, Spirit of Water.
I give thanks for your presence
Depart in peace, go in power.

Return to the altar, take up your athame.

Go to the North, point your athame at the edge of the circle. Moving widdershins, visualize the energy of the circle being drawn back into the athame, and through it and you, into the earth.

When you are again at the North, and the circle is gone, say:

The Circle is open, yet it is not broken.
